December 22, 2022

Several New Hampshire towns have been authorized to print and display commemorative plates in 2023 for their respective anniversaries:

Portsmouth: 400th Anniversary
Franconia: 250th Anniversary
Jaffrey: 250th Anniversary

One commemorative plate may be attached to the front of a motor vehicle in place of the regular number plate; however, the rear number plate must remain in place. A motor vehicle displaying an anniversary plate must be legally registered and inspected for the current year. The time period for display of the commemorative plate is January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

Vehicles inspected during this time period would not fail for having the commemorative plate on the front of the vehicle in place of the regular number plate.

If you have any questions, please call the inspection desk at 603-227-4120. As always, thank you for your cooperation.
